Mr. Allen & His Wife

This is a quick and short poem I wrote about a teacher named Mr. Allen and how all his students and their parents, co-workers appreciate and think the best of him. They see him as this overachieving and intelligent guy with so much to look forward to in the future. Everyone thinks the best of him but every time he heads home his wife is left to suffer as her every breath is an excuse for him to beat her.
