Hardworking Student

I am a hardworking student who loves to laugh
I wonder how I am going to finish my studies this year
I hear my brain click
I see the light in my eyes
I want to succeed
I am a working student who loves to laugh

I pretend that I am always in control
Sometimes I feel like I'm walking in quicksand
I touch the hearts and minds of others
I worry about not being good enough
I cry when one of my family is in pain
I am a hardworking student who loves to laugh

I understand that I can not save the ignorant and apathetic
I say that I still have to try
I dream of being the best student I can be
I try to make my studies interesting
I hope I stop worrying
I am a hardworking student who loves to laugh
