On the hike to the Citadelle Lafarrière
Hiking with friends for a historical visit
Chanez and I finally visited Elektra in Haiti in 2015, and she took us on a great hike to visit the Citadelle Lafarrière, one of the largest fortresses in the Americas. It was built by Henri Christophe, who was a key leader of the slave rebellion that freed Haiti from the French in the late 18th century.
