Health Advice on COVID-19
COVID19
Spread Awareness

COVID-19 is the name of the disease caused by the new coronavirus that is called SARS-CoV-2, or sometimes just “novel coronavirus”.
Althought this virus is EASILY transmitted, there are many possible way to avoid contracting the virus.

One way the virus is transmitted is by spreading mainly from person-to-person. Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet). Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. So in order to avoid all of these complications, you can clean your hands often, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Secondly, always remember to put distance between yourself and other people (at least 6 feet) and cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others.

Not only do you have to avoid contracting the virus, you also have to prevent others from getting it as well because you never know if you have contracted it or not. So to prevent the spread of this deadly virus, you may cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily. If you are SICK, stay home and you will save lives more than you thought you ever would.

Right now is the time to pay attention and look for signs of anything that is causing trouble. It is stated that symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. If you have any of these symptoms listed, then you may have COVID-19, {fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea}. If u have ANY of these symptoms, seek emergency medical care immediately.

Now if you have possible or confirmed COVID-19, you can relive your symptoms by staying home except to getting medical care. Monitor your symptoms carefully. If your symptoms get worse, call your healthcare provider immediately. Get rest and stay hydrated. Take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen, to help you feel better.
If you have a medical appointment, notify your healthcare provider ahead of time that you have or may have COVID-19. Stay in a specific room and away from other people in your home. If possible, use a separate bathroom. If you must be around others, wear a facemask.

I promise we CAN and we WILL get past through this stressful time period. Remember to spread awareness, stay safe, be careful, keep an open eye and maintain your self care regime. Just because were in a stressful situation doesn't mean that we have to get stressed out. You may be in the storm but the key is to not let the storm get in you. Never stress on what you cant control.
