Black Lives matter

George Floyd Age 46, was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. On May 25, 2020 George Floyd died in Minneapolis, Minnesota after Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for almost nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed face down in the street. My reaction to the police murder of george floyd was angry and dissapointed. I was angry and dissapointed because the police system failed us, they are supposed to protect us, not kill us. Many policemen mask themselves as decent professionals. But in reality there are also many who exposed their true face, like Officer Derek Chauvin, who had at least 17 inquiries and 12 complaints against him. But how did the police department do nothing about it or focus on finding or investigate why there were so many reports from that police officer?. To my understanding police and other colleagues are racist in reality. Heartless people, who didn't care for the life of that man, didn't think this man had a family. That is why many people from different states started to protest, Because it was a very unfair thing. Also the officer looked very focused as he pressed his knee to his neck which there was no need for since Floyd was handcuffed and didn’t resist the arrest. It is crazy that racism still exists, sadly it is something that will forever go on. We are all equal, we are all humans nowadays people from darker color are afraid for their lives because they can be innocent and still be killed for no reason. This has actually changed my perspective on police roles because we are all supposed to trust and feel protected by the police. Instead we're scared today, I also know that not every police officer is cruel. I know there are policemen on the protesters' side. On the other hand There are allegedly Protestants who started breaking businesses, stealing from stores. A way to show pain for what happened with Geoerge Floyd, but in my opinion I do not see the need to damage the businesses that are in the same community of the Protestants, for example the place of the facts was in Fordham Road. you can protest passively without having to take things to another level as they were, they stole from jewelry stores, they set fire to what belonged to businesses, threw stones at the police cars. What I see there is that there are people taking advantage of what happened with George Floyd to make their disasters because they were few people compared to the large groups of Protestants of George Floyd.
