I joined SYEP because I wanted to gain more experience of what a job actually feels like and develop new skills that will serve me in the future.
SYEP is important to me and my family because we are not a high-income family, so this opportunity will allow me to get money and also get skills that I will need later to work.
I would like to tell the mayor that cutting the SYEP program this year is not a very good idea because with that program he helps thousands of young people. Young people not only earn money, they also acquire skills that help them in their future.
