What's Inside The Senate's $2 Trillion Coronavirus Aid Package
Social Studies
What is the federal Government doing in response to COVID-19?

The COVID-19 is increasing in the United states non stop so a lot of actions must be taken to main the stability in the economy and to maintain stable prices or at least good stable employment to make the economy doesn’t fall into recession, plus taking all that into account we must also make sure that we have enough health facilities to control the spread of the virus. So finally our government is taking action as reported last week the federal Government gave $2 Trillion to several groups impacted by the coronavirus pandemic which president trump signed.
It was reported that the money was divided into seven different categories including, “Big corporations,Small businesses,State & local governments,Individuals,Public health,Safety net,Education /other.” These groups would see the widest reaching impact. But here we will be focusing on public health . As reported public health will be getting approximately 153.5 billion. The money will be used for a lot of things including Hospitals: There is $100 billion for hospitals responding to the coronavirus, Community health centers: The bill provides $1.32 billion in immediate additional funding for community centers that provide health care services for roughly 28 million people, Drug access: There is $11 billion for diagnostics, treatments and vaccines. The bill also includes $80 million for the Food and Drug Administration to prioritize and expedite approval of new drugs and lastly Medicine and supplies: The bill gives $16 billion to the Strategic National Stockpile to increase availability of equipment, including ventilators and masks. It also boosts hiring for vital health care jobs during the public health crisis and speeds the development of a vaccine, treatments and faster diagnosis. Even though it looks like the government is not doing its best to stop the spread of the virus( which is not true) there is hope that all this crisis will go away soon. If you are someone who is being affected by the virus I hope you stay safe and I also pray for everyone and their family members to be healthy and safe so we can all work together to get rid of this disaster.
Personal Reactions:
In my opinion I think $2 trillion in coronavirus relief, they should break down the money the way people are asking, not the way they think this money should be divided in their own opinion because this money is our tax money. And the money they give to Small businesses, State & local governments I think they have to divide this money by 50% to give Public health and to food access because many unemployed need a way they can stay healthy. However I think the U.S need to need to accept the help that other country are given to them.
