United nations slavery statue
The United Nations
Permanent Memorial

Permanent Memorial is to Honour the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade at the United Nations. In 7/18/19 we had an opportunity to go to the United Nations and it was a wonderful experience because we got to know some information on what they do.The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization that maintains peace and security. They develop friendly relations among different nations. This statue means a lot to African-American and other different cultures that came from slavery. The statue is made out of triangles which shows the slave trade route where they went too. Inside the statue it also shows a map that shows the triangular slave trade and a prone human figure that shows those who where transported oversea.
