How Innovation Can Create Opportunities For Bronx Youth
Hi everyone, my name is Khamarle Banton. I go to Comp Sci High, and I’m on the Art Team. For my presentation, I chose the topic of how a technology and media ecosystem focused on innovation can benefit communities like the Bronx.
This summer, I worked with a program called Metabronx. During this program we got to be creative and learn new skills. Some of the things we worked on was putting images on The Glass Files and how to work the website, we also learned how to draw and do graffiti.
I enjoyed getting the chance to learn something different and express myself through art. We spent time practicing our designs, working with different materials, and putting effort into our projects. I also got to work alongside other students, which made the experience more fun because we could share ideas and learn from each other.

I think technology and media can benefit communities like the Bronx because they give young people opportunities to be creative, learn new skills, and share their ideas. Programs like MetaBronx can help students discover things they might not have tried before.
