What I will be presenting on Week 6 of the MetaBronx internship
Summer Work
Mandatory Presentation
Week 1:
The first week of the internship served as an introduction to the entire process of the MetaBronx internship. We learned that MetaBronx was made by 3 people and one of the Co-founders, Philip, is our Boss. From the beginning, Philip, told us what we were going to use and what we were going to focus on.
Week 2:
The second week of the internship we were told to bring a computer so we could use The Glass Files which is a website that is being developed by a company that MetaBronx has accelerated. What we had to focus on was knowing how to label images with who made it and where it was made.
Week 3:
There were 2 parts to this week, for the first part team mentor Wendy was teaching us how to edit, and for the second part of the week, Philip was telling us the plan to set up a hybrid broadcast streaming studio at the MetaBronx work space.
Week 3 - 1/2:
Wendy is an content producer for MetaBronx who has made multiple videos. She was teaching us how to edit, so we could be more organized just like Philip had taught her.
Week 3 - 2/2:
Philip told us the plan for the hybrid broadcast streaming studio. Some of the plans consisted of putting microphones, and having multiple computer setups in the work space.
The microphones were wanted just because of the size of the room, and the interns talk really low, so one half of the room might not be able to hear the other half. The computer setups were for streaming and making podcasts.
Week 4:
At the beginning of this week Philip told us that one of the Co-founders was going to show up, so in preparation for this and the presentations of Week 6, we had to organize the office to have more space and cleaner to make all the necessary equipment fit.
We mostly spent that week fixing around positions of the equipment the office already had, cleaning off dust from equipment, taking photos of what we did, and looking at how some of the hangers were mounted just so the wires could be organized. To prepare for the final 2 weeks, we had to take multiple photos of our experience just so we could have thumbnails and to show our effort.
Week 5:
For Week 5 we focused on finishing our drafts and posting it to The Glass Files. With photos that were taken during Week 4 for the thumbnails, then edit our drafts by either expanding them by adding more details or even getting rid of some unnecessary details. After posting our final project into The Glass Files, all that was left was to wait to present them either the following Tuesday or Wednesday.
