"New Faces of Tech in the Bronx"

MetaBronx was created the evening before this event. A logo, website, and table tents were designed and published/printed within a few hours of the idea being hatched.

The event itself came out of an open-ended collaboration between the Office of NYS Assemblymember Michael Blake and the co-architects of the nascent Bronx community-driven innovation ecosystem.

From the letter inviting the participating partners:

Dear Technology Stakeholders, Community Leaders and Elected Officials,

It is with great enthusiasm that my office, along with #YesWeCode, invites you to “The New Faces of Tech,” an event showcasing the jobs of tomorrow with an engaging community dialogue on how to scale up the best and most promising initiatives.

The event will be held on Thursday, September 10th, 2015 at the Old Bronx Borough Courthouse, 513 E 161st Street, Bronx, NY 10451 (161st and Third Avenue).

MSNBC will be live from the event as part of the network’s “Growing Hope” campaign. Portions of the event will air during “MSNBC Live with Thomas Roberts”.
