The Hunts Point area of The Bronx is an industrial area, where freight trains stops during weekdays to collect materials. This was the caboose of the freight train.
There weren't any materials in the caboose, it was mostly empty except for trash. It didn't seem like any crew members occupied this caboose during work hours.
